Purpose of the Symposium:

    • Discuss the impact of exotic species with stakeholders and the need for research in Minnesota.
    • Enhance the public dialogue in Minnesota on exotic species risks to the environment.
    • Bring together some of the major thinkers worldwide on invasive species issues to initiate collaborations with Minnesota faculty.
    • Build and strengthen research collaborations in Minnesota to improve assessment and management of invasive organisms.
